Days are missing from my record

Open Settings › Tracking. That screen names anything stopping the count and gives you the one action that fixes it. The usual causes:

• Location access is set to "While Using". The app only sees where you are while it is open, so days go missing whenever it is closed. Set it to Always.
• Precise Location is off. An approximate position can land on the wrong side of a border.
• Background App Refresh is off. The app cannot check on you between position updates.
• Low Power Mode. iOS holds back background updates while it is on. Days arrive late but are not lost.

Days from before you installed the app are not missing so much as unknown. Recover them with Restore from photos, or add the stays by hand.

A day is recorded against the wrong country

Tap the day in the calendar to see what was recorded and what it was based on, then correct it. Your correction is kept: it will not be overwritten the next time the device takes a reading.

Very close to a border, a phone can genuinely place you on the other side. If you live near one, check those days and fix them.

Why did a border day count for two countries?

Because most authorities read it that way: set foot in a country and the day counts there. If the rule you are tracking counts only the country you slept in, turn on Count nights only in Settings and the day will be assigned to wherever you spent the night.

Bringing history in from another app

Export a CSV from the app you use now and open it in Settings › Import from another app. Column names do not have to match ours, and both 2026-07-27 and 27.07.2026 style dates are understood. Any row that cannot be read is listed with the reason rather than quietly skipped.

What the report is, and what it is not

The PDF states how much of the period is actually recorded and where each day came from — a device reading, a photograph, or something you typed. That honesty is the point: a report that hides gaps is worth nothing to the person assessing it.

It is a record of your own data. It is not tax or immigration advice, and it is not a legal certificate of residency.

Subscriptions

Counting days is free for good — your whole history, every country, every limit, and the widgets. Pro adds reports, attachments, custom areas and the Watch app.

Subscriptions are billed by Apple. To cancel, open the Settings app on your iPhone, tap your name, then Subscriptions. Cancelling stops the renewal and you keep Pro until the period you paid for ends. Refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.

Deleting your data

Everything lives on your device. Deleting the app removes it. See the privacy policy for the full picture.
