Countries Days keeps your travel history on your device. We do not run a server that holds it, we do not have an account system, and there is nothing for us to look at even if we wanted to.
The short version
- No account, no email address, no sign-up.
- Your location is turned into a country on your phone and never sent anywhere.
- Photo metadata is read on your phone. The photographs themselves are never opened.
- No analytics, no advertising identifiers, no third-party trackers.
- We do not sell, share or rent anything, because we do not have anything.
Location
If you allow it, the app records where you are so it can work out which country you are in. That coordinate is compared against a map of national borders that ships inside the app itself. No network request is made and no coordinate is transmitted. The result — a country and a date — is stored on your device.
Location access is optional. Without it the app still works; you enter your stays yourself, or recover them from photographs.
Photographs
If you use "Restore from photos", the app reads the date and coordinates stored inside each photo by your camera. It does not open, copy, analyse or upload the images. Nothing about your photo library leaves the device.
iOS lets you grant access to selected photos rather than all of them. The app works either way, with less history recovered from a smaller selection.
Where your data lives
Your stays, limits and settings are stored in the app's own storage on your device, and are included in your device backups if you make them. Deleting the app deletes the data with it.
Reports you export are written to your device and go wherever you choose to send them. They are not copied to us.
Payments
Subscriptions are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see your card, your billing address, or your Apple Account. We receive only the aggregate sales reports Apple provides to every developer, which do not identify individual customers.
When you write to us
If you email support@dobreon.com we will have your message, your email address, and whatever you choose to include — for example a screenshot or an exported report. We keep support correspondence only as long as it takes to help you, and we do not use it for anything else. Please do not send us documents you would not want us to hold.
Children
Countries Days is not directed at children and collects nothing about anyone, including them.
Your rights
Data protection law gives you rights to access, correct and erase personal data held about you. In our case there is nothing held: your travel history is on your device and under your control, and you can erase it by deleting the app. For support correspondence, write to us and we will delete it on request.
Changes
If the app ever starts doing something this page does not describe — an optional iCloud sync, for example — this page will be updated before that feature ships, and the date at the top will change.
